Ooops, sorry. Forgot to tell you, there was a black out on the second night. My mum and all were at the Karaoke Room. Me and a few of my father's son's friend were fishing. Then, it went totally black. I heard my mum calling for my name. I fumbled towards her. She said she actually told me to stay where i were and not move because if you step into a hole or something, no one will know that you have fallen inside the sea. Luckily the lightstick I bought was useful. I distribted one to evryone. In the end, the power did came back. So relieved.
Hi everybody. Long time never post... so sorry.
I just returned from a very unforgettable trip to Malaysia Mersing, Kelong Acheh Resort. An island surrounded by beautiful islands. (Though it's smack right in the middle of the sea) We departed from Singapore in the morning 6 o'clock on the 6th of December. *Yawn* so tired. Have to wake up at 5am. I went there with my parents and relatives and their friends. (Total: 24 persons) We met at the Ang Mo Kio McDonalds (the one by the park). 12 persons in a mini bus. We went by the Woodlands Checkpoint. Once we reached Malaysia Johor Bahru, we took 3 whole hours to reach Mersing. We stopped once or twice for a toilet break.
We have to wait at a small hut by the beach and wait for a boat to come fetch us to the Resort. (As the resort is smack in the middle of the sea). The waves then were rather choppy and the currents were strong. The wind was blowing heavily. (*Brrrrrrrrr... ...* so cold)
The boat we longed for finally came. The boat was rocking heavily as we stepped into it. I had a peculiar feeling that i was going to get seasick. (I have motion sickness) The ride was about 15-30min.
The horror finally appeared at the landing point. The Kelong had no proper landing space. You have to hop from the boat to the ladder attatching the Kelong. It was so very scary because if you miss a step, there you go, right into the waters. I could feel my legs tremble beneath me. Fortunately, everyone made it safely onto the Kelong. *whew*
Once i stepped onto the Kelong, i sat down.(As i have motion sickness) I breathed deeply. Then walked around. WOW. The scenery was so very beautiful. Surrounded by greenish islands. So like nature.
The Kelong was fully equipped with bathrooms and beds. We were staying for 3days 1 night. It was very fun. i learnt how to fish. It requires alot of patience. My uncle caught a catfish. They had to remove the spine because the sting from there is poisonous. My father's friend's son caught a pomfret. So big... I only caught a small yellow fish. *Sniff* ='( well, they're experts. I'm just a beginner.
They provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea break and supper there. Here's the schedule:
Breakfast: 7.30am
Lunch: 12.30pm
Tea Break: 4pm
Dinner: 7.30pm
The food was rather nice. I guess my hobbies now are reading, playing piano, playing computer and fishing. Ha.
The trip back was rather scary too. A boy almost fell into the water and he did not put on a life jacket. We all felt relieved for him when he landed in the boat safely. However, he was so shocked that his face went all white and pale.
The trip back made me near the stage of vomiting. We went for lunch at a restaurant. Then, we went to a shop to but some of Malaysia's local product. (Cuttlefish, Sashima and others)
It was a fun and scary trip after all. Here's what i told my parents, "I am not going anywhere near the waters next time!"
